Hi and Chello my good people, if you haven't done it yet...GET UP AND SAY WHAT UP!!! lol ok you can sit down again.
Greetings from the land of the hectic, where the universe is full of surprising twist and turns. If you are a student, a business person (need to stay gender neutral :>) or a bum, you know life can become overwhelming.
As a student, you may think you are on top of the work and them suddenly there's as assignment popping up out of thin air, as a business person a crisis might break out, a client might decide to screw you over or customers having a bad day take it out on you, when you are just doing your job...as a bum...it mite rain?...
Well what ever it is, and you think the "get up and say what up" method was just a get up and feel the world bite you in the butt method, well duh, did you really think that was all you had to do??
You've done the most important step, as I see it: you got or started to get positive attitude towards your day.
So what comes next?
Organize your day.
For many of us out there who may be organized when they have to be ( like me) or not organized at all, this might actually cause many of us to stop reading this blog now. It doesn't really mean you have to keep a pen and paper set by your bedside or a planner or a diary, not that it wouldn't help, if you are into that sort of thing, then by all means go ahead.
If you are like me, however, that might become tedious. What I do is think about my day. It's as simple as that.
In case you haven't noticed it, from as early as nursery school, a routine lifestyle is instill in humans. They get up, bathe at some point during the day, eat, go to school or work, engage in some sort of interaction with friends, significant other or family and then go back to bed to begin the cycle again the next day.
Think about it, your basic day has two or more of these aspects (duh, hopefully you bathe and eat) and it only gets interesting when you get unexpected plans or a crisis breaks out. Now, some plans may excite you, like an invitation to dinner or an unexpected trip with people you like, however a small percentage might do the opposite and really bring down your day.
By organizing your day, you leave space for the unexpected events of life. When one has a plan it's easier to deviate from it AND find your way back, than to have no clue of what you originally had to do and be floundering around in the dark all day.
Have you ever heard the saying, "come to the light?" Well getting up and thinking about your day (or writing it down) is your light, when the unexpected happens, and things in your world become dim, you will have your light at the end of the tunnel to guide you through it.
Step 1: Get up and Say What up!
Step 2: Organize your day
When the hectic aspects of life steps in and you feel pressured (which may still happen) the next post may help you with that. Until next time just see if those two steps make even a minor difference in how your day is executed.
Here's to positive people!
This is a good way to start your day or even end it because you can plan the next day as you lie in bed before you go to dreamland. Also, it helps to have everything within a time frame, I try to operate my day based on time. Start with the times that you already know will be taken up then organize all the free space in your schedule.
